Hi, I'm Marc Chamberlain. I have been blessed to serve here at Genesis for 20 years as Lead Pastor. We have seen Genesis grow over the years into a place where everyone belongs and Jesus is the Rockstar. I grew up in this area, and count myself blessed to be able to raise my family here. I am also blessed to be the Husband of an amazing wife and the Father of three great kids. When not writing sermons, I enjoy hunting, fishing, cooking, and tree farming.
Favorite verse: 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
God has gifted and blessed George with multiple talents and he uses them all at Genesis! George works as our Pastor of Administration. His favorite part of the job is hearing about the change God causes in people lives - a big reward of ministry work!
His love for kids and teens along with his passion for Christ caused George to pursue a degree in youth ministry at Criswell College in Dallas, TX. After serving as youth pastor for eight years and working for a Christian radio station for more than a decade, George began praying for his next step in ministry and in 2018 God opened the door for George to join the staff of Genesis Bible Church. George and his wife Lydia have been a part of the church family since 2014.
While George may seem mild-mannered, you’ll be surprised to know he's tested
the limits of extreme sports. Bull-riding, skydiving, base-jumping, and
bungee jumping are a few of his much loved, and otherwise crazy, things to do.
In addition to these activities, George also has a knack for making balloon
“sculptures” and performing gospel focused illusions for various camps and
ministries in the area.
Favorite Verse: Isaiah 9:6
“For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government
will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”
George sees this as just one of the
many times that the old testament proclaims the coming Christ!
