Lead pastor

Marc Chamberlain

Hi, I'm Marc Chamberlain.  I have been blessed to serve here at Genesis for 20 years as Lead Pastor.  We have seen Genesis grow over the years into a place where everyone belongs and Jesus is the Rockstar.  I grew up in this area, and count myself blessed to be able to raise my family here. I am also blessed to be the Husband of an amazing wife and the Father of a couple of great kids.  When not writing sermons, I enjoy hunting, fishing, cooking, and tree farming.

Favorite verse:  2 Corinthians 9:8  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Associate Pastor

Bill Sylor

Pastor Bill and Jan have been part of the Genesis family since 1994.  Pastor Bill joined the pastoral staff in 2007.  Bill and Jan were married in June 1979 and have lived in Allegany county all of their married life.  They have two children and three grandchildren.  Pastor Bill likes being outdoors on their property and taking coffee breaks in the woods with Jan.  Jan enjoys being out doors tending her flower gardens and blazing trails on the "back forty".  They both stand amazed at all that God had done at Genesis and are humbled being used to minister to God's people there.

Favorite  verse:   1 Timothy 1:15  "It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all."

Favorite quote:  "I am reminded when I am alone that God loves me -- that there is something about life that is infinitely deeper than all the expectations and roles and performance stuff of my outer life. I can feel it.  My soul feels its worth."  John Ortberg
